If I don't, then I won't care that I didn't max them out. If I end up playing through enough times, they will eventually max out. The other guns I won't bother because each subsequent playthrough I do will add three levels to each gun.
The only things I actually bought in-game were the Spectre, N7 promotional, and CE weapons which can't be picked up. You certainly can ask! No, I wouldn't play through five times just to not buy the upgrades, but knowing that I'll play it through again once more in the near future, and possibly again at some point, if the medi-gel upgrades were like the weapon upgrades, I wouldn't buy them. Can I just ask, if the answer was yes would you really play through 5 times rather than just buy the damn upgrades?
